One of the biggest mindset shifts France gave me w One of the biggest mindset shifts France gave me was realizing how often we save beautiful things for later.

The nice dishes.
The perfume.
The champagne…

As if ordinary life isn’t reason enough to enjoy them.

But the French approach feels different. There’s less waiting for a special occasion and more emphasis on making everyday life itself feel a little more beautiful.

Comment BEAUTY and I’ll send you my article on how to romanticize your life like a French woman. 🌺
One of the things I’ve noticed most about life in One of the things I’ve noticed most about life in France is that luxury often feels less tied to expensive things, and more tied to everyday experiences.

A bouquet from the market.
A coffee at a café.
A slow lunch.
Good bread.
A simple walk.

Simple things, but experienced more fully.

And I think that’s part of why French living feels so appealing to so many people. It’s not necessarily about extravagance — it’s about presence, pleasure, and allowing ordinary moments to feel meaningful.

If you’d like to bring more of this feeling into your own everyday life, join us inside Everyday France, my online community centered around French-inspired living, style, beauty, food, and everyday rituals.

The French approach to self-care has always felt d The French approach to self-care has always felt different to me.

Less about perfection, intense routines, or constantly trying to “fix” yourself — and more about creating a daily life that feels nourishing, balanced, and enjoyable.

A slower morning. Askincare ritual before bed. Fresh flowers on the table. A walk, a proper meal, a spritz of your favorite perfume.

Small things, practiced consistently, that change how everyday life feels.

Comment CARE and I’ll send you my full post on French-inspired self-care routines. 🇫🇷✨

One of the simplest French apéro bites is also one One of the simplest French apéro bites is also one of the most classic: fresh radishes with butter and flaky salt. @cuisine.elegante shows us here how to eat a radish the French way for maximum flavor and enjoyment!

Crunchy, peppery radishes paired with creamy butter somehow become the perfect little reminder that French food doesn’t have to be complicated to feel special.

And honestly, this is exactly why I love the idea of a French apéro for dinner — a few simple things arranged beautifully, shared slowly, and enjoyed without overthinking it.

If you’d like more ideas for creating a French-inspired apéro at home, comment APERO and I’ll send you my post all about hosting a French apéro for dinner. 💕
Living in France has changed the way I think about Living in France has changed the way I think about work-life balance.

Not because life in France is perfect or responsibilities disappear — but because there’s a different rhythm to the day.

Meals create natural pauses.
Rest isn’t treated like something you have to earn.
Personal time is protected a little more.
And not every moment needs to be packed, optimized, or turned into something productive.

It’s a softer reminder that work is part of life, but it doesn’t have to become all of it.

If you’d like to read more about this slower French approach to time, comment ART and I’ll send you my blog post on practicing the art of doing nothing. ✨

If there’s one thing the French know how to do bea If there’s one thing the French know how to do beautifully, it’s chocolate desserts.

Rich, elegant, and often simpler than they look, these are the kinds of recipes that feel special without needing to be overly complicated.

A soufflé for drama.
Pots de crème for something silky.
Mousse for a classic.
Éclairs for that pâtisserie feeling.
And Reine de Saba for the chocolate lover who wants something truly decadent.

Not as something reserved only for birthdays, dinner parties, or special occasions — but as a small, regular pleasure woven into everyday life.

A bouquet from the florist.A few seasonal stems on the table. One flower pulled aside for the bedside.

It’s simple, but it changes the feeling of a home.

A French-inspired life doesn’t require a new addre A French-inspired life doesn’t require a new address. It often starts with a few small shifts in how you move through your day.

Sitting down for your coffee.
Eating one meal without distractions.
Adding a little beauty to an ordinary moment.
Getting dressed with intention.
Leaving space instead of filling every minute.

Simple habits, but together they can completely change how your everyday life feels.
